the GRANDIOSE project - artworks
“Grandiose” is the title of a project I’m working on. Meant to be a “big” project to push myself as an artist, Grandiose is the combination of many of my interests. Using painting, photography, video and more, the project is an exploration of the landscape that will take me to every continent. The first area I chose to start exploring is the Eastern Sierra in California. Chosen because of it’s proximity to where I live and for the childhood memories I have from going there, it seemed like the perfect place to start. The second area I chose was the Dolomites in Italy. Italy is like a second home to me and I have spent much time there so it only made sense this was an area to be explored for the project. More to come!
Eastern Sierra - California
The Eastern Sierra is where it all started for me. Growing up in Southern California the Sierra are basically in my backyard and I have been going there to experience the outdoors since I was a kid. Over the last three years, I’ve photographed, drawn and painted them in an effort to learn what draws me to it.
